Objectives
The making up the institutional mission of the Foundation are:
To help eradicate poverty, through balanced and sustainable human, economic and social development, thus improving the socio-economic situation of the underprivileged, enhancing human capabilities and strengthening civil society.
To support education and vocational training as forces for a lasting process of development that creates wealth and reforms social roles.
To favor women mainstreaming in all sectors and activities, especially in rural areas, so as to increase women’s social participation and foment their access to the decision-making process.
To support minorities and ensure fairness for all regarding access to basic goods and services; and thus to foster cultural balance and help to bring peace.
To foment, promote and disseminate culture, as a qualified expression of humankind and its historical circumstances and as an aid to dialog between diverse cultures.
To create and strengthen values of citizenship, civic awareness, responsibility and solidarity, in society as a whole and especially among young people and women.
All these objectives are present in the different action programmes that the Foundation is developing in Spain and in the countries where it has cultural and cooperation ties.
