Cooperation in Africa

Since 1996, the Foundation has fulfilled 17 cooperation projects in several African countries. The main areas of activity focus on education for women and institutional support to NGO locals in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia.

The work in Africa represents 2% of the volume managed by the Foundation in Cooperation for Development.

In 2005, the FPSC increased its work in Africa, in particular, in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia.

In 2006, an Agreement for Cooperation for Development was initiated in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the Spanish International Cooperation Agency designed to improve elementary education, literacy for adults, and professional improvement especially for women and children. This Agreement, for a total cost of 3,750,000 Euros, will be carried out during the next four years in conjunction with educational institutions in the regions of Kinshasa and Lubumbashi.
